Celine Dion and Monica Brown was spotted rocking this Gucci embroidered Duchesse Shirt. Would you splurge on this top? Retailing at $2,490. Monica was styled by one of my favorite stylist Ade Samuel and Celine Dion was styled by another one of my faves Law Roach. I actually love this jersey inspired top, very fun and relax looking. Both Celine and Monica look fabulous in this embroidered Gucci shirt. To be completely honest, I am getting a little tired of Gucci this and Gucci that. The brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele is really killing it with these ideas but the Gucci is getting overly played. Thoughts?
CurlFest is known as the ultimate celebration of natural hair. This event is all about embracing your natural curls and empowering one another. CurlFest had over 50 vendors selling beauty products, fashion apparel and accessories. It is very important to have a space where us curly girls are represented. For years black women were conditioned with the idea that our natural hair was too nappy or not presentable for the work place. We need more of these event to empowerment future Queens and really celebrate our BEAUTY!
This was the 4th Annual CurlFest event and my first time in attendance. There were so many beautiful people serving all types of stylish looks. Fros of all sizes were in formation, and of course, the outfits were very impressive. This was a all day event located at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. Believe me, you need to get to this event EARLY so you can beat the long lines. Unfortunately, I had no patience to stand in lines all afternoon but I did have enough to wait in line for some Jerk Chicken. That Jerk Chicken was SLAMMING, never tasted anything so fresh and flavorful in my life!!!!!!!

Can we take a moment to admire the beautiful Zendaya Coleman? First off, her style is impeccable and effortless. Zendaya never disappoints during red carpet events, and her casual style is dope AF. She can literally pull off any look an rock it fiercely. I think what is keeping Zendaya ahead in the fashion game is, she isn’t afraid to take risks with her style. At only 20 years old, I believe this young Queen can become a fashion icon in a matter of two years or less. Zendaya is such a beautiful person inside and out, I love everything about her spirit and how she breaks the norms with such grace and elegance. Did you know that Zendaya and her trusted stylist Law Roach created a clothing line called Daya by Zendaya? This contemporary line is very cool and has affordable items for both men and women of all sizes.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Tracee Ellis Ross? The first thing that pops in my head is her radiant smile and luscious locks. I first noticed Tracee when she played Joan in the 2000s sitcom “Girlfriends.” Tracee Ellis Ross has hosted numerous of shows during the past years, which is where I witnessed her corkiness and charm. This year Tracee has earned a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical/ Comedy for her role in “Blackish.”
Let me touch base on her style. Tracee has always been into clothing and you can thank her mother Ms. Diana Ross for that. Imagine growing up with Diana Ross as your mother….all of those beautiful clothes and accessories. Tracee consisently serves us firey looks on the red carpet, thanks to her team of stylist and of course her creative touch. Even her casual style is impeccable, and she proudly makes it known which looks she had creative control over. Tracee style is vibrant, fun, bold, and ethereal. Can you believe she is 44 years old? LIKEEEEE WOW! There was some buzz this week when the idea reoccured about Ms. Ross playing Ms. Frizzle in a live production of The Magic School Bus. Tracee would give me so much life as Ms. Frizzle!!!!!!!! LET’S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! Take a look below to see some of her recent looks.

Summer is finally here and it’s HOT AF. Below are a few of my favorite trendy pieces that can be wore from season to season. From the runways to A-list celebrities then right into our closets, fashion lovers can’t get enough of these popular trends. My favorite trends for the season are off the shoulder silhouettes, anything gingham, wrap dresses, sliders, and of course the dramatic exaggerated sleeve.
Exaggerated over the top sleeves are a must have this season. Extra wide, ruffled, or extremely long sleeves gives any outfit a fashionable vibe. Whom would have thought that covering up some skin could be so sexy?
OFF THE SHOULDER
This trend is one of my favorites. Who doesn’t enjoy an exposed collarbone and shoulder? This is a very feminine and playful look that can easily be transitioned to the fall season.
Gingham pattern is a classic. A very trendy style that won’t ever get played out. This timeless trend is seen on every piece of apparel you can think of. You can never go wrong with a nice gingham item.
Diane Von Furstenberg set the bar when she introduced the world to the wrap dress. It’s perfect for the summer, and great for the fall. The Wrap dess is super easy to put on and even easier to take off, what more could you want?
Sliders are extremely comfortable, and so needed! More fashionable than a flip flops and more convenient than sandals. A quick store run or a walk around the city, these are your best bet for comfort and ease.
I call these the sophisticated sliders. Simply and stylish. A defiant must have for the season. Ideal for the office and a night out with the girls. Mule sandals gives any causal, plain outfit a bold, sleek vibe.
