BLACK HISTORY MONTH: MARVEL STUDIOS’: BLACK PANTHER

I’ve  been waiting for this movie since I’d heard it was being created. The opulence & beauty this movie showed was magnificent. This was much more than a movie, which a lot of people fail to comprehend. This isn’t just another superhero movie, this is an African superhero based in Africa. Something I’ve never seen in theaters growing up. Representation is very IMPORTANT! To see ourselves on the big screen as something else other than gangsters, dope fiends, strippers and criminals is breathtaking.

This movie is giving our younger generations something to be inspired by. Little black boys and girls can actually envision themselves as being leaders and pioneers. It is very refreshing to see all the beauty that this movie embodies. Not to mention all the African cultures this movie represented. It showed the beauty of our people from different tribes coming together and valuing opinions.

There was one pivotal scene, where Prince T’Challa would be crowned king and receive the powers of the Black Panther. You see tribes from all over Wakanda, wearing elaborated headpieces, colorful garments, and neon colored lip plates. The movie showed visuals that exist way beyond the white and Western imagination. If you haven’t seen this movie go and see it NOW!

After winter must come spring! The great Lauryn Hill said that. I love the spring, because you have so many options when it comes to styling you outfits. or look of the day. This season you will notice mix & match patterns, denim outfits, & pastels. We have a few days left in February so it’s about time we add some Spring pieces to our wardrobe. My fave places to shop for trendy pieces are boohoo, misguided, asos & zara.

BELCALIS “CARDI B” ALBERTO TAKES OVER NYFW!

Cardi B was giving us LEWKS this past week at NYFW. I don’t know if the world is truly ready for this Bronx Bombshell. Cardi B was seen sitting front row with Vogue’s Editor-in- Chief Anna Wintour. So you know we’re about to see more of Belcalis aka Cardi B in the fashion world.

BISH STOLE MY LOOK: JIMMY CHOO X OFF-WHITE BOOTS

My favorite Rihanna quote has to be when she was receiving her fashion icon award at the 2014 CFDA fashion awards; she stated, “She may beat me but she can never beat my outfit.” Still pure FACTS!!! My girl Rihanna looked fabulous both times she rocked these Jimmy Choo x Off-White boots. Hailey Baldwin & LNHH Miami star Veronica Vega rocked these during NYFW. Who was your fave? These optic white padded Nappa Leather Mid High Boot retails at $1,570.
