LOLO’S SEAFOOD SHACK

Lolo’s Seafood Shack is located in Harlem on 116th & Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Seen a couple people post about this place so I decided to try it out. Since I am infatuated with coconut shrimp I ordered that and garlic fries. My order was only $10.00, which is awesome but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t order an extra side of shrimp. The coconut shrimp was satisfying…nothing to brag about. The garlic fries had a great kick to them, which made my meal worthwhile. Not too sure if I would go back to this place…..wasn’t pleased with the idea of paying for my meal before it was served to me. Reminded me more of a fast-food restaurant. Lolo’s seafood shack was vibrant and colorful which was appealing but not very spacious. Overall this restaurant is worth trying….at least once.

PUNCH RESTAURANT 

Once the snow melts and the flowers begin to bloom you know where to find me. Out searching for new restaurants & brunch spots to try out. What a random find this restaurant was, during my search on Instagram I came across this little spot called Punch. Punch is located in the lower east side of Manhattan & what caught my eye was the deal on drinks! This place was nice & intimate. The Waiters were very friendly & refilled my glass when needed. I give the food a B+ & please don’t get the grits.

BOURBON STREET BAR & GRILL

In Love is not even the phrase I want to use to describe my feelings for this dish below. Ever since my friend had his Birthday dinner here I’ve been hooked. The Cajun Chicken, Shrimp, & Sausage pasta is my FAVORITEEE!!!!! There were so many tasty flavors in this pasta. This pasta beats out by far the Cajun pasta I had at Oceana in New Orleans, which is GREAT for me since it’s more accessible 🙂

If you knew better you’ll do better. Now Please Everyone Try Bourbon Street Out!!!!!

SLATE NYC 

A few weeks ago, I was invited out to a restaurant called SLATE. I’m always down to try new places, so I was ecstatic to try SLATE out. Happy Hour is from 6 pm – 8 pm with $4/$6 drinks, really can’t beat that deal. I had my eyes on the ‘O.G. Sliders’ since my friend told me about this place; which by they way were really savory. This establishment came equipped with games like scrabble, connect four, pool, & ping pong; which are extra fun when intoxicated. Definitely a place worth trying out.

WEEKEND IN ALBANY

Last weekend I made a trip up to Albany to see some of my closest friends. My Besties and I are rarely altogether at the same time, so Aisa & I decided to spend the weekend in Albany. Even though one Bestie was M.I.A we had a Great time.

We  party’d it up at Washington Tavern & few other bars. The highlight of my weekend was Sky Zone, the Cheesecake Factory & this super cute brunch spot called Risotto. Check It Our Below!

I Never really ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, normally I just order their famous Cheesecake. Since it was my first time ordering an entree, I kept it safe & went with what I love which is PASTA. I ordered the ‘Faralle with chicken roasted garlic,’ & it was DELICIOUS!!!

I definitely love me a good brunch & Risotto was a great choice. The mimosas weren’t the strongest but they did the job. I had the ‘Chicken & Waffles,’ it was so delectable. The boneless fried chicken was so crispy & the waffle was so fluffy. LOVED IT!!!!

 

Jacob’s Pickles 

Jacob’s Pickles was unbelievably excellent !!! All I thought about the next morning was how much I wanted to eat my left overs, Fat girl problems or What?

As an appetizer, my table & I agreed on ordering the “Poutine.”I had no clue on what that consisted of, but I was open to try it. I can best describe “Poutine,” as a mountain load of French Fries.That melts in your mouth & was smothered in gravy & lots of cheese. For dinner I had the St. Louis Ribs. SOOOO, SOOOOO GOODDDDDDD!!!!!!!! My beef ribs were very tender & juicy. Falling all off the bone just how I love ’em. *I normally stick to pork ribs* The St. Louis Ribs were served with German styled creamy garlic flavor mash potatoes. As a consumed my delicious plate, I sipped on about three maybe four “Jam Jars,” which were sweet with a small sour kick.

You MUST try this place out if you haven’t all ready !! Enjoy !!

FLOR DE MAYO

Over the weekend I traveled to the upper west sides’ famous “Flor De Mayo.” This is a well known Chino-Latino restaurant, one of the few remaining in NYC as I was told. An blend of Chinese, Peruvian, & Latino cuisine in one place, what more could you ask for ! The food was good but them drinks……….AH-MAZE-ING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check it out they have two locations in the city.

SOCO Punch was everything I could ever ask for plus more!!! A little pricey but it was well worth it. Very tasty & yet still strong. My assumption is with about three of these you will be LITTTY!
